Sword Idea for the Fire Knight


I have brought into zbrush a maya .obj file which I have made denser in order to be able to add detail.
When my character will be done regarding modeling and rigging I might use the weapon in the posing 3D scene of the Fire Knight.

Building the Fire Knight

The target of my Project is to create two detailed 3D models accompanied by a concept book with the research development. Fire Knight in progress:
Masking the areas on a standard model has given me the armor that I need.

Adding details and starting creating the helmet.






Zbrush Practice: Galactic Hero

Starting from a mood board I have started modeling a practice character in Zbrush:
























Elements such as the cape or the pelvic armor have been made using tutorials :
Creating a cape starting from a plane and using standard brushes and move tools to define the final element.


Pelvic Armor was a Mask practice using the mask tool in zbrush.





Different standard zbrush materials have been added in order to achieve a render for a photoshop concept piece

My future development of skills will be focusing on Photoshop for 2D, and Zbrush, Substance painter and Maya for 3D.

Defining the targets

Choosing to showcase my work through an interactive platform will provide different methods of completing artwork and 3D models which need to be learnt by me:
The Programs that I must focus on are:
Photoshop ( fundamental and necessary skill for the start of any project)
Draft above reveals the process of defining the topic of my Project;


Concepts above are the starting point of the main topic that my project is focusing on.
Future research will require fantasy armor and medieval armor studies.

Project Alpha: Brainstorming

I have analyzed my options in a way that it would be profitable in the future; building up a portfolio and gaining experience in the programs required for my desired role in a game company.

Plan A was to create an indie game:

Plan B was to make an interactive 3D model viewer that would work as a slideshow or preview

As well as creating some AAA models I will create a Concept book in which I'll add all my research development given towards my Project Alpha task.
