Gem Concept

Alongside the magical cloak, the power/magic/unique capabilities of my character, the Wanderer reside within the gem that shall be placed on his sword.
Here are some shape ideas in the process for the Gem of Power.


Sword Concept

Here is my character's sword concept: 

Starting from different shapes and then creating an effect for the sword as seen in the second row of sketches, I have finalized the overall look of my character's weapon.
As seen in the example in the middle, the sword has got a flaming aura of power around it; that which shall be triggered only in moments of need by the Wanderer.( The owner/character)
The sword glows whenever the gem of the sword activates it's power. One reference for this item would be Zeratul's weapon from the Starcraft games.

Cloak Idea Progress for the Character Concept

Throughout this sketch I have created a method through which my character can make his unique item change shape. Depicted through effects such as dark shadowy smoke and floating matter.
Regarding reference or better description of the way the magical cloak works I have compared the effect with the death animation of a dragon from The Elder Scrolls : Skyrim; the floating skin is the floating matters, textile material of the cloak, but instead of fire effect as seen in the image below, the cloak  shall use black smoke.


Another good example of shape shifting cloak/cape would be Spawn:
The only difference between all these examples is that the visuals are similar but the sound impact of the effects don't apply to the stealthiness of the cloak of the character. (The Wanderer)

It can also be used by the character as a camouflage device in any type of environment such as the cloaking device of the alien from the Predator:

Special item for the Character Concept

Trying to find the unique trait of my character I have decided to extrapolate the cloak items.
However, the cloak will be able to change shape or camouflage the character according to surroundings. The methods through which the cloak changes are yet to be focused upon. One idea might be that the cloak changes through magical shadows/smoke as seen in the 2nd cloak version, getting a tint of green starting from the top where the hood is.

These sketches show the character in different poses and stances and they are a simple exercise of trying to find the ideal look and combination of items in order to achieve visual balance between armored/used and unused space on the body.



Versions for the Character Concept

Starting from the idea of having either dual wielding/one handed sword I have created an unique sword that splits in two, this will be useful for the character in moments when overwhelmed by foes.
Also, I have started making different versions of how the wanderer/my character will look like, thus I have created a useful camouflage device-his cloak.

Ideas for my Character Concept

Here are some ideas for my character that depict the versatility that I want to give to the wanderer.
The elements that I want to integrate into him are: close combat skills, dual wielding swords or one handed sword, bow and arrow, and shield.
One trait of the wanderer would be that he is a nomad which means that he needs to integrate to any environment.

Penguin Stickers

This is a simple exercise of line accuracy that I have made on adhesive sheet; the drawings have been cut out of the paper later on so the penguins can be used as stickers.

Here are two concepts ready for modelling. These two concepts represent draugur creatures which resemble undead or skeleton creatures which the main character in the Viking game shall fight with(Enemy units).
