PolyPortrait
Poly Portrait that I've made starting from the picture seen below; using Adobe Illustrator tools in order to obtain crisp shapes under the form of polygons:
Perspective practice
A mixture of still life and moving life drawing that helped improve my perspective, proportions and construction lines
PolyPortrait
Armored/Fantasy character
I found out that starting with construction lines and then working on the line would improve the shape of the character.
Building up from grey lines into darker or brighter lines helped me define certain shapes and create a point of interest at the same time, allowing the viewer to automatically focus on those specific zones of the body.(less detail at the bottom, more detail round the torso and head)
Barbarian Character 2D Practice
Step 1: Silhouette
Step 2 : roughly painting the parts of the armor to get a quick idea of proportions and values
Step 3 : Details and perspective corrections
